Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse:
This is an instructor with extensive experience who can compensate for my lack of knowledge on specific concepts in internal medicine. In addition, he demonstrates creativity, flexibility, problem-solving skills, internal motivation and commitment, all qualities that create good emotional connection with learners and an active learning environment. Overall, I believe that working with Dr. Blanco will support and assessment as a student during the clinical placement, while presenting me with opportunities to link theory to practice and develop clinical skills (Joel, 2018).

Edgar Núñez Blanco, MD, is a physician who specializes in Internal Medicine. He has 15 years of professional experience having graduated from the University de Ciencias Medicas de la Habana in 2007. He is an excellent physician who has great relationships with the patients and family members. In fact, he has an excellent overall rating from the patients. In addition to practicing as a physician, he works as an instructor for medical residents who study Internal Medicine. I am sure that his knowledge and experience will help me in this program, particularly in Internal Medicine rotation. Overall, Dr Blanco is a careful, diligent and knowledgeable individual who has much to offer me in improving my internal medicine competencies.

Organization: Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida, as a practicing physician and instructor for medical residents.

Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse:
He demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills, morality, lifelong learning, accessibility, management and leadership, and time management, all qualities that make him an effective instructor. Besides that, he has a non-judgmental disposition, clinical competence, enthusiasm for education and excellent literacy. Overall, I believe that Dr. Guzman will enable me (as a student) to be professionally socialized into the culture of the clinical environment (Joel, 2018).

Dr. Jorge Guzmam, MD, is a physician who specializes in Emergency Medicine. A graduate from the University Autonomy De Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina in 1990, he has extensive experience in his specialty and commands significant respect as a dedicated professional dedicated to providing the best possible care to his patients. In addition, he works as an instructor who teaches students, residents and fellows about Emergency Medicine. Dr, Kuric is a positive role model of a successful nurse whose career trajectory I seek to emulate. She has first-hand experience about continuing education and rising through the ranks in the nursing profession. She is an excellent source of career advice on the steps I need to take to achieve career goals (Shellenbarger, 2019).

Dr. Kuric serves as the program director for the MSN Nurse Practitioner program and specialty coordinator of the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse practitioner program here at Walden University. She has many years of experience in nursing practice, presentations, publications, consulting, curriculum development and advocacy. She is both a clinician and educator with primary interests in advanced practice care, evidenced based practice, system support for quality practice, health policy, learning methods, and neurosciences.

Name: Dr. Andrea Lindell
Title: Vice Provost College of Health Sciences and Dean of College of the School of Nursing

Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse:
Dr. Lindell is an empowering mentor who would encourage me to develop the diverse strategies and skills necessary to successfully navigate this education program and even continuing education. In addition, I can role model her habits about active listening, reading, note taking and time management to be a more successful nursing student and professional (Shellenbarger, 2019).
Notes:
Dr. Lindell has more than 30 years of experience as a nurse clinician and academic. Over the course of her career, she has held various leadership, board, and committee positions, including at American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).
